Insurance Open Enrollment Information
January 1, 2021 starts a new year for insurance out of pocket cost and co-pays.
For our Medicare patients, starting October 15, 2020 through December 7, 2020 there will be the open enrollment period for you to choose your Medicare insurance coverage for 2021.
For our commercial patients, your enrollment period will differ based upon where you have obtained coverage. If this coverage is through employment, you will need to wait for the annual renewal period that your employer has selected.
If you receive your health insurance through the Health Exchange, there will be different enrollment periods per state. Below is a guideline, but it is always better to check with the health exchange within your state as enrollment periods may change.
- PA enrollment period is from 11/1/2020 through 1/15/2021
- NJ enrollment period is from 11/1/2020 through 12/15/2020
- NY enrollment period is from 11/1/2020 through 12/15/2020
To help with the decision making process of choosing another plan, we have put together a list of questions you should consider:
- Is your chiropractor in network with the insurance?
- What is my deductible? Do I have a co-pay each visit? Is there co-insurance?
- Do I need a referral for chiropractic treatments from my Primary Physician?
- How many chiropractic treatments are covered per calendar year?
Unfortunately, Laser treatment is not covered by any insurance at this time.
